The minimum TES requirements for 2021 Worlds remain the same as for 2020 Worlds:

  • MEN SP 34.00 FS 64.00

  • LADIES SP 30.00 FS 51.00

  • PAIR SKATING SP 27.00 FS 44.00

  • ICE DANCE RD 33.00 FD 47.00

The ISU has announced adjustments to the process of obtaining minimum TES scores to qualify for the 2021 World Championships.

1) Scores from the current and previous two seasons (2020-21, 2019-20, and 2018-19) can be considered for minimum TES scores for 2021 Worlds. Previously, only scores from the current and one previous season would count.

2) For junior skaters moving up to seniors, junior scores from the current and previous two seasons will count as senior TES minimums for 2021 Worlds.

3) For senior skaters who still have not obtained the TES minimums, their federation may submit videos of their programs to the ISU to be judged virtually for TES.

  • Federations with 1 spot for 2021 Worlds in a discipline may submit one skaters’ video(s). Federations with 2 or 3 spots in a discipline may submit up to two skaters’ video(s).

  • Online entries are open from Feb. 5-16. The deadline for video submission is Feb. 19. Results will be known by Mar. 1.

  • The federation must notify the ISU when they enter a skater for consideration. They have 72 hours from the time the entry is submitted to submit the skater’s video(s).

  • If a skater is submitting both SP and FS videos, the two programs cannot be taped more than 3 days apart.

  • Skaters have only one attempt to perform their program(s). The federation must verify this when submitting the video(s).

  • The virtual TES score will only apply for 2021 Worlds and will not be valid for future seasons.

See the communication for more details.
