1) Challenger Series Ondrej Nepela Memorial in Bratislava, Slovakia has been cancelled, according to the ISU calendar.

2) Due to quarantine requirements from the French government, Russian skaters will not be able to participate in the first two Junior Grand Prix events in Courchevel, France. The ISU will reassign the Russian skaters’ quotas to other JGP events. [source]

3) ISU Communication 2418: Details regarding the reallocation of JGP spots due to difficulties skaters may have in traveling to host countries during the pandemic. Regarding the JGPF, “the Council finally concluded that it is impossible to implement a fair and consistent ISU Junior Grand Prix ranking for the 2021/22 season. [...] no ISU Junior Grand Prix ranking will be applied. Depending on the developments during the ISU Junior Grand Prix series, the ISU Council will evaluate if and how the ISU Junior Grand Prix of Figure Skating Final (scheduled to be held on December 9-12, 2021 in Japan), could be held by applying alternative qualification criteria.”

Decisions of the ISU Council at their meeting on March 2, 2021:

1) The 2021 World Championships in Stockholm will take place as planned. The 2021 World Team Trophy, scheduled for Apr. 15-18 in Osaka, will take place if the state of emergency in Japan is lifted and if skaters are not required to quarantine.

2) Entry quotas for the 2021 Junior Grand Prix series will be based on the results of the 2020 Junior World Championships, since 2021 Junior Worlds was cancelled.

3) The 2020 ISU Congress, postponed to May-June 2021 in Thailand, has been cancelled. The 2022 ISU Congress will be held in Phuket, Thailand instead of Las Vegas, USA.

4) Olympic qualification will proceed as originally planned. The majority of entry quotas for the 2022 Winter Olympics will be based on the results of the 2021 World Championships, with final spots to be decided at 2021 Nebelhorn Trophy in September. 5) The next ISU Council meeting is scheduled for Apr. 8, 2021.
