2015 World Championships: Info & Streaming

SYWTW FS

The 2015 World Figure Skating Championships will take place in Shanghai, China from March 23-29. This will be the first time China is hosting a major ISU Championships.

HOW TO WATCH

ISU:

The ISU stream will show the entire competition live, including the gala. This stream is blocked in countries that have bought broadcasting rights for the competition (ie. most of the world; it should work in Australia and most parts of South America and Africa), so you may need to use a VPN to unblock it.

Sport 2 & Sportbox (Russia):

Sport 2 will air the entire competition and gala live, except for the short dance, which will be aired in a delayed broadcast at 21:20 MSK on Mar. 25th.

Stream 1, Stream 2, Stream 3 (all non-geoblocked)

Sportbox.ru will stream the entire competition live. These streams are geoblocked to Russia.

Gala

Eurosport:

Eurosport will air the pairs, men and gala live and ladies and ice dance in delayed broadcasts. The following broadcast schedule is for British Eurosport; check the website for schedules in other countries. (Reruns are not listed here.)

3/25: Short dance 10:00 (delayed, 90-min. recap)
3/25: Pairs’ SP 11:30 (live, 120 min., starts 1.5 hours into event)
3/26: Ladies’ SP 09:30 (delayed, 90-min. recap)
3/26: Pairs’ FS 11:00 (live, 180 min.)
3/27: Free dance 09:30 (delayed, 90-min. recap)
3/27: Men’s SP 11:00 (live, 120 min., starts 1.5 hours into event)
3/28: Ladies’ FS 10:00 (delayed, 90-min. recap)
3/28: Men’s FS 11:30 (live, 150 min., starts 45 min. into event)
3/29: Gala 07:00 (live, 180 min.)

YLE (Finland):

YLE will stream the competition live on their website and air it on TV in delayed broadcasts. Official streams (geoblocked to Finland):

Icenetwork & NBC (USA):

Icenetwork will stream the entire competition (minus the gala) live for subscribers in the US. NBC will air a recap of some programs on March 28 from 8-10PM.

CBC (Canada):

CBCSports will stream the entire competition live on their website and air delayed recaps on TV.

CCTV 5 (China):

CCTV 5 will air almost the entire competition live. The men’s SP broadcast will start 3 hours into the event (19:30 CST) and the ladies’ FS broadcast will start 30 minutes into the event (11:00 CST). All other broadcasts will start on time.

Youtube:

If you can’t watch live, videos from the competition will be uploaded to Youtube very quickly, so you can always catch up later.

Other TV channels (eg. Spain’s TDP, Japan’s Fuji TV, Italy’s RaiSport) may also air parts of the competition. Check your local TV listings for more info.
